Our Story

Doug and Linda married in 1995. They both felt called to help bridge the gap between people who can not identify with traditional church and those who need God. So they started a church in a coffeehouse that was converted from an old Harley Davidson shop in a mid-west college town. They played groovy worship music with an alternative edge, created an environment in which people who have never been to church could come and hang out and experience God. The result was very interesting. Many people in the new age movement and various spiritual outcasts got to know Jesus.

In 2000 Doug was diagnosed with a genetic terminal disease called Huntington's (HD) which had taken the lives of 5 family members just a year before. Due to early symptoms of HD Doug left his job as a pastor and began to seek healing from God. Healing began after getting prayer at The Elijah House and the Spokane Healing Rooms. Then the grand finale happened June 26, 2001 at a Todd Bentley conference. Doug was healed of all symptoms of HD and has been feeling great since.

A short time later Doug and Linda started a new church and ministry called InLight Connection. They believed that most people would have a relationship with God if they could only connect with Him in some way. Doug & Linda began searching for new ways to share God's love with people who are seeking a spiritual awakening but lacking direction to do so.

Their search led them to start experimental churches and events in coffee shops, malls, festivals, and business events. From years of practically demonstrating God's love to people, Doug developed a series of training seminars and wrote a book called Personal Development God's Way and he now travels worldwide helping people transform their lives and discover their purpose. He uses stand-up comedy and has found fun new ways to learn fast. His training seminars include finding your destiny, the power of encouragement, how to practically hear God, understanding your dreams and visions, and experiencing the supernatural in a natural way. Doug also trains and performs stand-up comedy and Improv.
